A strikingly original combination of a blown-glass vessel and a two-dimensional painting.
The vessel itself is hand-sculpted using semi-opaque peachy-taupe glass. While it is still hot from the furnace, Silverman used molten glass cane to "paint" the figure of a dancer onto the vessel. The dancer is accented by a line of textural saffron beads along the curve of her back.
The lip of the vessel is cut and brought to a refined polish.
